This oral presentation was given at the 9th Conference of the International Society for Gesture Studies, Chicago, United States, on 15th July 2022. This presentation is related to a part of my Ph.D. project, which investigated to what extent the emerging communication system in manual modality – silent gesture, is shaped under pressure to achieve efficient communication.
